The game where he definitely grew into a real star was when he dropped 36 points and 16 rebounds his senior year with the MinuteMen from Maranatha high school. They were playing against LA Cathedral once again, and Dorsey had little help from his teammates that game. He kept the MinuteMen in the game the whole time, and only lost by 1 point. Cathedral was a highly ranked open division team at the time, and Dorsey was playing with a division 4 level team. Cathedral got the W, but the real winner was Dorsey. He got a chance to show the world that he was able to carry a division 4 team against an open division city and state playoff contender, he showcased his quickness, willingness to share the ball, consistency, athleticism, basketball IQ, and good sportsmanship.
